We have saved the best for last and Aaswad is surely he best with its award winning world tastiest  vegetarian dish. Inaugurated in 1986 by Balasaheb Thackrey. With misal pav priced at RS.48 it does live up to the hype and has a delicious misal which you can mop up with pav. With lime, onions and farsan accompanying it. The restaurant has been around since the last 30 years.

Situated just opposite C.S.T  station, this place is small, humble yet clean and well maintained. Known for its dahi misal, it is worth each penny, as the spice and flavor, hit the right notes on your palette. The dahi cuts away the overall spiciness and also adds a new layer of flavor.

One of the places which serve authentic Maharashtrian misal, one of the oldies like Aaswad and Vinay lunch home. The twist with their misal is that they do not serve it with pav and it still tastes good. Neither too spicy nor water, with onion, farsan and lot of dahi on top. Located at Dadar Shivaji Park, near Sena Bhavan.
